Show Home Again from Trip of 5,600 Miles After traveling 5G09 miles via Dodge BroLhers, through thirteen .ates, we have returned to Beaver county and are gradually resuming our ordinary mode of life and assuming as-suming our accustomed places as editors edi-tors of the two Beaver county papers We, Mr. and Mrs. Karl S. Carlton and son, Walter, left here on May 2iith, going via Salina canyon, Green River and Monticello to the Mesa Verde National park, where we spent tome, time examining the famou., cliff dwellings of that region. They are. truly wonderful. After a few-days few-days spent at Durango, Colo., the journey was resumed down into New , Mexico, over the continental divide, i Combres and La Yeta Passes, to- Pueblo. Pue-blo. Thence east along the Arkansas river, through Garden City. Hutchin-.n.n, Hutchin-.n.n, north to McPherson. Here w? turned directly south through Wicn-ita Wicn-ita into Oklahoma, thence northeast to Joplin and Si. Louis and acrosn Illinois to Indianapolis. After a weeK spent there in visiting Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Sr., the journey was continued contin-ued to Dayton, Columbus and to the journey's eastern end, Cleveland, or near there, where we arrived June 21st. The return trip was begun July 14 and the route followed was via. Lansing, Rattle Creek, Calparaiso. Chicago, Joliet, Davenport, Rocky Mountain National park, over Fall River pass, which i,-- at an elevation of 1 1,797 feet, and Rabbit Ear pas 1 0,500 to Steam Boat Springs. Vernal, Ver-nal, Duschesne and Spanish Fork canyon. Friday evening July 31. after af-ter 63 day, mostly spent in the open not a night in a hotel, we arrived home tired, but happy, and will pleased with our trip.
