Show EXPERIMENTS IN WHEAT A publication entitled "Experiments "Experi-ments in Wheat Production on the Dry Lands of Western United States." Stat-es." has just been issued by the U. S. department of agriculture andl is listed list-ed as Department Bulletin No. 1173. It is written cooperatively by the following: fol-lowing: David E. Stephens, superintendent superin-tendent of the Sherman County Branch Station at Moro, Oregon; M. A. McCall sueprlntendent of the Adams Branch Station at Lind, Wash ington; and Aaron F. Bracken, superintendent su-perintendent of the Nephi Substation at Nephi. Utah. The bulletin Is limited in its discussion dis-cussion of the tillage problems1 on western dry-lands. Time of plowing, depth of plowing, care of fallow, cultivation cul-tivation of the growing crop, disposal dispos-al of the s'tubble. and a number of other vital problems are discussed from detailed tables of yields given in this bulletin. Though rather widely wide-ly separated, the results from these three substations agree in most of the fundamental dry-farm practices. T'irough the courtesy of the U. S. department of agriculture the Utah experiment station has received a liberal lib-eral supply of this publication.
