Show DEATH OF MRS McMULLEN The death of Mrs Clarence Mc-Mullen. Mc-Mullen. beloved wife of Clarence Mc-Mullen, Mc-Mullen, of this city, who died Saturday Satur-day morning at her home, from the effect of poison, came as a great shock to the community. Mrs. McMulleu was preparing to entertain visitors on Sunday for dinner, and was not feeling very well, so thought she would take some quinine tablets. Sometime ago they purchased some strychnine tablets for the purpose pur-pose of poisoning the magpies, and this box had been put on a shelf In the cupboard, and Mrs. McMullen by mistake tool; two of these 3-grain tablets, and in n short time began to feel strange and realized she had taken the wrong medicine. Mr. McMullen was at work in the garden, digging potatoes and she called to him and told him to call the doctor, which he did. also calling some of the neighbors. Dr. McGregor hurried to her aid and everything was done for her that could be done, but she died in four or live minutes after bis arrival. The funeral was held in Greenville on Tuesday afternoon.
