Show QUIT "HOLLERIN"' BUSINESS IS GOOD IN OUR TOWN OUT YOUR "HOLLERING" There are a few merchants in this 'own who are continually "hollering," "holler-ing," "Business is Rotten." We dont believe a word of it, and we will toll you why we don't believe it. 1 More than one merchant has shown us his books, and in every instance in-stance except one, the business done so far this month, is In excess of the business done a year ago, and in nearly all cases the business for tho past three months has exceeded corresponding cor-responding months for many years nast. Yet they will "holler" "Business "Busi-ness is Rotten " Quit advertising "rotten business r.ndgo to 'hollering,' 'Good Business We know what we are talking about when we say that tho business of the merchant here IS GOOD. Take a look at Cedar City. Every merchant there is "hollering" "Good Business." The merchants there are not doing any moro business per dollar dol-lar of capital than the merchants are doing here. You never heard of a man in California saying that business busi-ness was rotten not even if he were busted; and they kept right on saying so out the front door, even if the sheriff is out back nailing up the doors, and soon business became good, better, best, until now well, you have heard of California, haven't hav-en't you? We'll say you have. They have gotten so in the habit of saying say-ing "good" that they always say "best, it ever was," and if Webster would invent any adjectives above the superlative degree, California would copyright them. Take a few lessons in boosting your own business, busi-ness, your own town, county, or state Good business is contageous. People like to trade in a business town with business men. People will come from surrounding surround-ing towns to trade in a business town, even if their home merchants could sell as "good for less." But they want you to look prosperous pros-perous and talk prosperous that gets them Try it for a month. a |
