Miss Bebe James curried of: high score prize aud -Miss Ethel Stanley gracefully accepted the consolation. A yellow color scheme was employed in the refreshments refresh-ments and decorations. A cross between be-tween marigolds and sun flowers has. been evolved by Mrs. Stanley, mother of the hostess, and the result is so strikingly attractive they have sent a specimen to a New York florist for his observation. OLD FKIENDS CLUB Mrs. Scott Tanner was hostess to the Old Friends club Tuesday evening even-ing at her home "in the McDonald apartments. 500 was the evening's entertainment. First prize was won by Mrs. George Ranson, second by-Mrs. by-Mrs. A. Johnson. Delicious refreshments refresh-ments were served to the following: Mesdames Fred Levi, Carl Levi, Geo. itaifsou, Rose Hedges, Wm. Fernley, A. Johnson, R. Malstrom and the hostess. -- MISCELLANEOUS SHOWER A miscellaneous shower was given Tuesday evening by Mrs. Dan Coleman Cole-man at her home in honor of Mrs. Dean Boden. Miss Ardath Johnson receiving the 500 high score and Mrs. Lillian Stonebocker, the consolation. The hostess was assisted by Mrs. Roy Coleman, Mrs. Wm. McGhie and Mrs. Fay Bradfield. A two course luncheon was served. The guests were the Misses Ardath Johnson, Bessie Killam, Francis Sloan, Louise Levi, La Rue Davis, Vera McAlister, Arvilla Muir, Albent Edwards and Helen Ward. Mesdames K. Coon, Fay Bradfield, Edith Farnow, Stephen Steph-en Harris, Cleo Patterson, Merrill Edwards, Winnie Johnson, Lillian Stonebocker, Alfred Horton, Roy Coleman, and Wm. McGhie and. guest of honor. Mrs. Boden was the recipient of many beautiful presents. . ENTERTAINS AT LUNCHEON Milton Hunter entertained seven of his friends Monday at a one o'clock luncheon. The rooms were prettily decorated with cosmos and golden glow and the center piece was Chinese asters. A delicious four-course luncheon was served to the following guests: Adrian Root, Fern Jennings, Edna Bird, Betty Murdock, John Williams, Julian Tate, Vance Fisher and the host. Ths afternoon was spent dancing. - - BRIDGE TEA Wednesday afternoon last, Mrs. F. B. Robinson of Rocky Ford entertained enter-tained at a bridge tea for her daughter, daugh-ter, Miss Lucile Franke of Salt Lake. The occasion proved to be the op portunity for old friends, visitors from many places, and the new residents resi-dents to meet. One feature of the afternoon was the fac that at each table there was one representative from each section of the Beaver valley. val-ley. The hostess was assisted in receiving and serving by Miss Irene Tolton, Mrs. John R. Murdock Jr., Mrs. F. W. Oospil and Miss Kendall Franke.
