Show MILL BURNS DOWN Last Wednesday evening the Minersville Min-ersville Flour MflJU burned to the ground. About seven o'clock Wednesday evening, Leo Lewis, the miller, while at work on an upper floor at the mill thought he .imelled smoke and started start-ed down to investigate. Uuon reaching reach-ing the lower level, he felt an explosion ex-plosion which threw him down and in an Instant the entire mill appeared ap-peared to bo ablaze and beyond any possibility of saving. Mr. Ltwls gained his feet and in order to save himself went out through the nearest window. Besides the mill being a total loss, there were about 1500 bushels of wheat and several tons of flour and feed in the mill. The loss is estimated at $16,000, and the Insurance carried was $10-000. $10-000. The mill belonged to A. J.. Lewis, Lew-is, of Minersville on whom the Iosb falls pretty heavy. |
