Show LIONS IN GRAND JUNCTION COLO. HEAR FJ). B. GAY The greatest argument which has been presented in urand Junction for some time in favor of more cooperation co-operation between Colorado nnd Utah Ut-ah and other western states for bringing tourists through this section sec-tion of the country was given today at the Lions club meeting by F. D. B. Gay, of Provo, Utah, who gave a brief talk along that line and flashed slides on the wall showing scores oi the scenic attractions In this territory. terri-tory. Mr. Gay stated that Colorado ana Utah have a common road problem in building up the best of roads which will make this seetion of the ' country known for what it really Is as having the best scenic attractions anywhere. Utah is at the present time working on the road from Thon pson's to the Colorado state line, formerly for-merly the worst of the entire Pikes Peak Ocean to Ocean highway, and it will not be long before1 it will be comparable with the rest of the route The many slides which Mr. Gay i carriedi with him and projected ou ' the wall of the dining room servea to show the peerless attractions tor scenery and vacation which this western territory, Colorado, Wyoming Wyom-ing and Arizona have, and to bring the representative people in the Lions club to realize the Immense thing they are backing when they ! back road improvement and make efforts ef-forts to bring more tourists Into this territory. , |
