Show JOSH McKOSH SAYS The new organization at tunnel 13 shows that about forty per cent of the bore is completed and the work is moving aheadl to such an extent that the giant concrete mixer will soon be spouting concrete into the tunnel. The new organization at this time consists of the following: A. W. Krueger, general construction construc-tion foreman; Don H. Johnsou, civil engineer; Tom Fanning, chief clerk; Sam Hastings, timber foreman; Carl Anderson, assistant timber foreman; Gust Lind, rock foreman; James Fackrell, assistant rock foreman; Timothy Logan, gang foreman; Fred Nicholson foreman concrete mixer; Fred Fisher, chauffeur; Wm. B. Freeman, chef; Mrs. Wm. B. Freeman Free-man assistant chef; Mr. and Mrs. T. and Pl. Kady, pearl divers. John W. Dinwiddie, foreman of outfit 53 5, is now engaged in building build-ing the new engine house at the city water works. Pat I. Trent, city treasurer of Is-'en, Is-'en, left for Denver last week accompanied ac-companied by her mother, Mrs. N. E. Grimes, where they will both go un-dier un-dier the doctor's care for some time. The ice houses at Islen are now full of nice natural ice. Soft drinks will be in order this coming summer. Several of the boys from outfit 536 located at Islen, went to the beach a few evenings ago and enjoyec themselves ice skating. C. Sj Duncan, assistant supervisor of the B. & B. department, was in Islen Is-len last Saturday conferring with Foreman Dinwiddie. Some people only use their heads to keep their ears apart. General Foreman A. W. Krueger, at tunnel 13, left for Los Angeles last Sunday to obtain medical aid for injury .received1 to one of his limbs prior to coming here. R. R. Bishop, former tunnel foreman, fore-man, has been appointed to the position po-sition of superintendent of the B. & B. department. This appointment meets with the full nnproval of every one who knows Rolla. Congratulations. Congratula-tions. Old-timer, and success' be with you in all your undertakings. The Mayor at Islen is hatching for (he time being. He always gives a sample of his cooking to his bull dog. I f the dog eats it, fine and dandy, (the mayor is about starved.) . . |
