Show PEPPARD SEED COMPANY BUYS $80,000 ALFALFA SEED The. first shipment of Yuma Valley Val-ley alfalfa seed for this season was made July 22 by the Farm Bureau Marketing association by selling a lot of fifteen cars to the Peppavd Seed company. The fifteen cars were sold for a price to total $80,000 as reported by the farm bureau. This firm also buys 7 5 per cent of the output in the Pheonix fieldi at 18c It is understood that this latter purchase pur-chase will amount to from 30 to 35 cars. The price paid by the Peppard company is reported by ihe farm bureau bu-reau as encouraging for the raisers of alfalfa seed. J . G. Peppard, Jr. an official of the firm and other representatives of the company are visiting Yuma looking over the crops and making arrangements arrange-ments for receiving the feed bought locally. The party will devote the next two weeks to this work, dividing their time between Pheonix and Yuma Delta Chronicle. |
