Show WHY OT A COUNTY FARM PRODUCT EXHIBIT While other counties all around us are putting on County fairs and- school exhibits. Beaver county, in i many respects, better fitted than the others to do so, is doing nothing. While it would be unwise to get up a regular fair on such short notice, we could, for once, at least, cut out horse racing, sports, etc., and have a fair that will be strictly educational. education-al. A one-day exhibit can be quickly and economically gotten together. Our boys' and girls' clubs can supply sup-ply a goodly part of the pep and interest in-terest and will, if properly directed, do much toward encouraging them to take a greater interest in the farm instead of seeking the bright lights of the city, as is now too often the case. By holding the exhibit just before the State fair, our exhibits could also al-so be exhibited there, thus giving us an exhibit that would be well worth while as materially advertising the resources of Beaver county. With the aid of the schools, we can easily put it across. Let us get busy and do it. ROBERT B. WHITE, President Beaver County Farm Bureau. |
