Show MONROE, Dec. 24 The Monroe team opened the game with a series of basket shooting $hat cannot be equaled again. They shot from any position on the floor or in any shape of the body and it seemed like it just ' had to go in. Due to this run of luck they run up a large score on Beaver before they had a chance to get into the game. This made the Beaver boys a little peeved and along with the roughness of the game put them on their ear. The end of the first' j half of the game was decidedly in ' I Monroe's favor, 26 to 9. The Monroe I team did not s.: w up as f ir- as team . work was concerned, j In the last half Beaver came back I with their eye on the basket and I their heart set on winning the game. 1 The second the whistle blew Beaver , started playing real basketball. You can talk about . your pretty team work, they surely did show it. They had the ball most of the time all through the last half and continually i rolled up the score at every play. They had Monroe on their ear that half. But, Monroe had rolled up too much of a score in the first half and i Beaver had to be satisfied with holding hold-ing Monroe to 7 points in the last half and gaining 21 points herself. If the team could have h-.d a crowd of , Beaver rooters back of them there would have been no show for Monroe. The score; Beaver j G. T. F.
