Show SUMMER SCHOOL Provo, February IS Summer school will begin June 9 at the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University, according to an announcement made by Dean H. M. Woodward. "We expect to make our summer school fit the needs of the teachers of this state better than it has ever done before." Dean "Woodward said. ' today. "Not only are we going to j bring a few men of national reputa-Uion, reputa-Uion, but we are going to offer a ric:; variety of subjects taught by our own professors." Strong demonstration schools In elementary, grammar and Junior high schools will be maintained during dur-ing the summer where all phases, of teaching may be tried, according to Professor L. John Nuttall Jr. who has charge of the training schools. Educators from East and West, as well as from Utah, will use these schools for practice purposes and for Illustrating methods of teaching. Graduate work In the study of the Bible will be offered by Dr. Adam S. Bennion, who has recently taken his Doctor's Degree using as his major a study of various phases of the Bible, as we have it and In addition to same excellent courses in English, history, sociology, science, economics education, educa-tion, recreational leadership and agriculture ag-riculture will be given, according to Dean Woodward. |
