Show Sliding Contacts for Connections on Back In most sets there are at most four or five connections which would ordinarily ordi-narily be placed best at the back of the cabinet. This Is accomplished in the manner indicated In the illustration. illustra-tion. In an ordinary single-tube set, for Instance, three connections to the buttery are required, viz.: A positive, A negative and B positive, the B negative nega-tive going direct to the positive side of the A battery. Three ordinary clips are bolted, each with a number 8 machine bolt, through the back of the cabinet, a piece of angle brass forming the Inside; It Is placed so that when the inside bottom of the cabinet Is slid In It passes under the projection of the spring brass. Si Pit? PAN El TO N-J PARTOPMt Another strip of spring brass Is placed on the second bottom to make contact con-tact with these angle brass strips when the set Is In place. The set wiring Is run to these second sec-ond plates; therefore, when It becomes "ecessary to get Into the set the front crews are removed and the whole Inside part slides out. When It Is put back the brass contacts close the three battery leads without any trouble. |
