Show MILFORD MEN VISIT DELTA Messrs. C. A. Arrington and Doctor Doc-tor Bybee, of Milford, staunch boosters boost-ers for that "southern suburb of Delta" Del-ta" visited the best little town in Utah Wednesday to gather information informa-tion about sugar beets. how the 1 rop is financed, how labor got, and in general, all about the growing of that crop. The gentlemen visited the sugar factory in the forenoon, and were closeted with Manager Var-ley Var-ley for a couple of hours, gathering data to put in use at Milford. These gentlemen represent 1500 acres that can be got for beet grow- jing and when their representations are investigated there is no doubt but that our "southern suburb'' will furnish the Delta factory with a Igood, substantial tonnage of the saccharine sac-charine root. They are also vitally interested in the matter of the road to Ely from Delta, which of course. conflicts with Milford's interests. But;, no sooner had Arrington got his eye full of this country than he handed over to the writer his down payment on a handfull of good stuff, and switched over immediately to an ardent ar-dent horn tooter of Delta. Laid right down, as it were on his own home town, but that expression is wrong, as they being our "southern "south-ern suburbs" his loyalty to the parent par-ent and leading portion of the larger town is right. Will give us his undivided un-divided support July 23 and 24, and 2 5 In our excursion to Ely and Baker, Bak-er, and promises many more' from his town to join our party in that ride. : On the other hand Doctor Bybee looked over the field with a wry eye. The writer took him out to the common, and there gamboling on the grass, playing leap frog over one another were grandfathers and great grandfathers, as nimble as crickets in a cabbage patch no sign of sickness" and the undertaker's parlors par-lors nailed over with boarding, after the sheriff had closed him out. See-in' See-in' that there was notbin' (loin, in his line, the good and worthy doctor doc-tor thinks Delta is no field for him. and will hie him back to Milford with full knowledge that a town where they keep coming in, and when in never die. will surely be some whopper. Milford may petition peti-tion to enter our city limits just as Forest Dale did Salt Lake, and as Los Anglaze will absorb Frisco. Of course, we wish all of our great er Delta country to prosper, and harbor har-bor nothing to keep back the fullest prosperity any portion of It, whether wheth-er it be Milford, our suburb of the south, or Fillmore, our east edge. Let It all come up. Let It all prosper. pros-per. And in making a bigger and better Delta by so doing we will encourage en-courage theiV efforts. And personally, the mere fact that Cam. Arrington once worked in a bank but. then we are forgiving cusses and won't bold it against I m . He's rel'i-med ri'iec. and is leading a better life, so we'll not be the ones to drag that past before him. Come on again gentlemen, bring n. friend along too. And. believing in rerriprocity, we'll take train in your direction and cement the growing grow-ing bond of friendship that all parts of a good lively town should hold for one another.
