Show BUT ONE PARCEL FOR CHRISTMAS ALLOWED YANKS Washington, Sept. 21. Christmas packages for the two and a half million or more Am- erican soldiers who will be in France during the holiday sea- son this year will be delivered under an arrangement with the Red Cross, announced today by the war department. In order to control the flood - of gifts, the department has de- cided that only one parcel will be accepted for each man. Gen- eral Pershing is forwarding coupons bearing the name and address of each member of the c expeditionary force, to be dis- tributed to the next of kin. These coupons must be at- taohed to standard containers. C' 9 by 4 hy 3 inches in size, which will be provided by local Red j Cross chapters upon applica- tion. All packages must be mailed before November 15. |
