Show v HIGH SCHOOL TO POSSESS ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANXICA A complete set of thirty volumes of the new handy size Encyclopedia Britannica is the latest addition to the 'high school library as a result of the campaign to secure more and better books. This set is not yet on the shelves but there is little doubt as to its being there in the very near future if present plans mature. Recently a patron of literature came forward with a new and complete com-plete set of the above encyclopedia which he offered to sell to the high school at less than half price, not feeling that he could well afford to make a donation of such an amount. This set has a valuation of $108.00 and is to-be sold to the high school for $50.00. Mr. Wells, principal of the high school, believes that the Board of Education win make the same liberal lib-eral offer in regard to these books that 1t did recently when the schools purchased new gymnasium equipment equip-ment duplicating the amount raised by the school for educational purposes. |
