Show A BIG SEARCH FOR LOST CHILD Last Saturday evening quite a bit , of excitement prevailed in the city i when it was reported, about nine o'clock, that Norma Burns, 12 year old daughter of Bishop Burns, had gone to the pasture east of town for the cows about seven and had not returned. A large number of automobiles and men on horse back and a-foot went to the pasture where a thorough thor-ough hunt was kept up until nearly midnight, when it was decided that more men and more lights were need eu anu tne nre Deli was sounded to get out a crowd. In the meantime while the mother moth-er and sisters of the little girl were waiting anxiously at home, one of ;them discovered a bare foot i sticking out from under the1 davenport, and the lost child was i pulled out. ' I It seems that the little girl, af-! ter a fruitless search 'for the cows ' had come home, unbeknown to the j family, andn being tired and sleepy, rooled under the davenport and was sleeping peacefully while the big pas ture was being traced and retraced in search of her. ' The missing cows had been brot home by a little boy who takes care 'of a herd mornings and evenings. Word was sent to the pasture as soon as possible and a long procession proces-sion came to town, making considerable consid-erable noise over the good news. |
