Show ARMISTICE DAY BALL The Armistice Day ball given by the Service Star legion, was an un-heardof un-heardof success. Over ninety r nors were sold, and the "extra ladies" lad-ies" swelled the crowd to 250. being present. The music was excellent and the people present were all in eagerness for a good time, so their expectations were realized. The prize waltzes were quite a 'eature. The one for artistic dancing danc-ing was awarded Mrs. Ferguson and Mr. Baker of Minersvllle, Now the booby prize was everything every-thing artistic, graceful, side splitting split-ting and educational, for Mrs. James Jam-es Tanner surely mixed up the bunny bun-ny hug, the chimmie and the foxtrot, fox-trot, all in one glorious medley, and won the booby prize two bottles of "Pep" while the bottle of catsup fell to Miss Irene Tanner. Doughnuts and coffee were served serv-ed on the stage and everything considered, con-sidered, the evening was replete with pleasure and satisfaction. A large number of out of town people were present. |
