Mr. Luedtke, Luedt-ke, who was working for the railroad, rail-road, had been drafted and left Salt Lake immediately for Fort Riley. The Ladies' Aid of the M. E. church will meet on Thursday, August Au-gust 1, at the home of Mrs. W. F. Cottrell. It is desired to have a good attendance as election of officers occurs oc-curs at this meeting. Announcement has been made, but if there is any war mother who has not been informed of the fact, this is considered an urgent call for her to be present at Red Cross headquarters head-quarters at 3:30 on Saturday afternoon. after-noon.
