Show WHOOPING COUGH ' There have been a number of cases of whooping cough In town latel and as it seems to be spreading, the health board has deemed it wise to Issue a statement as to the care of patients and ways of preventing spread of the disease. The rules given for the care of whooping cough patients by the Utah State Board of Health are as follows: For patient isolation and quarantine quaran-tine for not less than five weeks from the beginning of the disease and until the "whoop" has entirely ceased. For other members of the family quarantine not required, but children of the same household must not attend school or other public gatherings for a period of three weeks from the beginning of quarantine, quaran-tine, unless satisfactory proof shall be furnished to the board of health of their having had the disease in which event, the board may at its dis cretion permit the said children to at tend school and other public gatherings. gath-erings. a |
