Show Lucrative WOLVESNOW WORTH $50 Legislature Raises Bounty on Harmful Animals and Pests RABBITS AND GOPHERS WILL HEREAFTER BRING Be EACH AND SQUIRRELS Sc If you are a good hunter you should now be able to eat regularly three times a day and go well clothed on the bounty money you may earn. When the legislature got through with the bounty laws they had left the bounties to be paid considerably higher than last year. The state auditor's office is notifying notify-ing county clerks of the change in bounty fees consequent upon the enactment en-actment of house bill 17, by Hammond, Ham-mond, into law. The bounty hereafter here-after to be paid for a bear, mountain lion or cougar is $25, instead of $15 as formerly; for a black, gray or timber wolf $50, instead of $15 as formerly; for jack rabbits and gophers, go-phers, 5 cents, and for prairie dogs and ground squirrels, 3 cents. Bounties Boun-ties will be paid by county clerks up to the sum of $50. When this total has been reached, a certificate will be made out to the state treasury, which will reimburse for the outlay. One-fourth One-fourth of the bounty fund will go to the state live stock board for use In a campaign for the extinction of predatory animals. The state auditor's office is also notifying county clerks that the recording re-cording of marks and brands has been taken over by the state live stock board. |
