Show CHRISTIAN SCIENCE "Life" is the subject of the lesson-sermon to be read by the Christian Science Society in Mil-ford Mil-ford on Sunday, July 18. The Golden text is: "Now that the dead are. raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he called the Lord the God Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living; for all live unto him" (Luke 20: 30, 38). Among the Scriptural citations is the following: "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thv victory?" (I Corinthians 15: 55). Correlative to the citations are the following from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: "Mortals claim that death is inevitable; but man's eternal Principle is ever-present ever-present Life (p. 312). Whatever is governed by God, is never for an instant deprived of the light and mirht of intelligence and Life (p. 215). The evidence of man's immortality will become more apparent, ap-parent, as material beliefs are given up and the immortal facts of Tieing are admitted" (p. 428). |
