Show Division of Funds Among Counties Twenty-one counties containing national forest land within their boundaries will receive $34,387.70 as their share of receipts collected by the forest service for timber sales, grazing fees, land use and other uses during the fiscal year 1342, according to a report received re-ceived by Blaine Betenson, supervisor super-visor of the Fishlake National forest. The Eum' represents 25 percent of the receipts for use of national forest lands and is in lieu of taxation. Garfield county is the largest beneficiary, receiving $5,677j68. Sanpete county comes second with $4,541.77, and Sevier county third with $4002.85. The amount credited credit-ed to each county is based on the acreage of national forest land within the county and is used for school and road purposes by the counties. By act of congTess the forest service is authorize to spend an additional 10 percent of the annual receipts for the construction construc-tion and maintenance of roads and i trails within the national forests, j An additional 20 percent of the receipts from grazing on each national na-tional forest is used for the con-1 structtion and maintenance of range improvement such as fences, water developments and range re-seeding, re-seeding, under regulations of the secretary of agriculture, the forest supervisor said.
