Show i Mrs. R. Ashby and small son of Los Angeles were visiting- here this week at the home of Mrs. Ashby's mother, Mrs. Charles Mollis. Several members of the Every-Other-Week club enjoyed an outing out-ing Tuesday evening at the Seely-Murdock Seely-Murdock park, where they cooked t. campfire supper. Mrs. J. R. Murdock jr. and son Joey returned home Saturday morning after spending several weeks with relatives and friends in San Francisco and Oakland. Word comes from Los Angeles that Mr. and Mrs. Dicif Johnston Johns-ton are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby boy, born June 26. Mrs. Johnston is the former Peggy Blackburn of Milford. I Mrs. Louis Wlolf (nee Beth Coleman) and baby daughter of San Francisco, California are visiting in Milford for several days. 'Mrs. Lillie McKeon of Los Angeles, a former resident of of Milford, visited here this week with friends. She was enroute to the east for several weeks visit. Miss Rosetta Koch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 0.,C. Koch, arrived home Saturday from Colorado Springs, Colorado, for several weeks visit with her parents and other relatives and friends. Isadore QfiH.ins, 1939 graduate of the Milford high school and a star athlete throughout his school career, left July 4 for San Diego, where he is 'based with the United States marine corps. Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Neilsen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Rogers Rog-ers and family and Mrs. Bill, Fra-zier Fra-zier and son, all of California, spent last week here with their father, Henry R. Gillins, and family. fam-ily. It was a family reunion. Three new men, a machinist, a machinist's helper and a boiler-maker, boiler-maker, Tuesday were added to the local Union Pacific mechanical force, according to John H. Weston, Wes-ton, roundhouse foreman. This makes 22 permanent employes in thi9 division, according to Mr. Weston. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Smith motor-td motor-td to Salt Lake last week, returning return-ing Saturday accompanied by their daughter, Mrs. Hal Norton, and baby girl of Greenbelt, Maryland. Mrs. Norton, who will be remembered remem-bered as Miss Ina Smith, will visit in Milford with relatiws and friends for several weeks. ' lA group of young people en-Joyed en-Joyed a weiner roast Tuesday evening at the Seely-Murdock park. Those present were Mary Banks, Margaret Cochrane, Norma Nor-ma White, Ruth Pool, Marie Carlson, Carl-son, Leah Smith, Mrs. Beth Wolf, Mrs. Ina Norton and Mrs. Nola Killam. C. D. Cole, coming here from Payson, has opened a jewelry and watch repair shop in the front part of the building occupied by the Milford laundry and invites western Beaver county people to give him a call. A specialty with him is the soldering of jewelry and eye-glass frames with electricity elec-tricity and his ad to this effect appears in this issue of The News. Mr. and Mr. Royal Y. Swapp and son Paul left Saturday for their home in Kanab following a five weeks visit in Milford at the home of Mrs. Swapp's parents, j Mr. and Mrs. David S. Williams, j The trip was made in the Wil-I Wil-I liams car and a stop was made at Yankee reservoir, on the Parowan j mountains, where a few hours j fishing was enjoyed. |
