Show M. H. Pool spent a few days this week in Salt Lake City on business. Mrs. Wilson Moore of Salt Lake City, former resident of Milford, visited here over (lie Memorial holidays. Mrs. Shirley Iirown of Ely, Nevada Ne-vada has been visiting for several days at the home of her sister, Mrs. Faye Bradfield. Mrs. J. C. Jeffers and her son and daughter, Jay and Vera, of Salt Lake Cit, were week-end visitors here with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cline of Mil-ford Mil-ford were among those from Utah attending the Union Pacific Old Timers convention at Omaha, Nebraska, Ne-braska, this week-end. .Funeral services are being held Thursday at the local L. D. S. chapel for Klnier Gressmen, d, who died Tuesday alter a long period of illness. Burial will take place in Minersville. Mrs. A. A. McLntyre was hostess host-ess to her bridge club Tuesday night. Mrs. J. Tribole and Miss Lucile Estes returned home; from Tre-monton, Tre-monton, where they attended the annual conference of the Utah mission of the Methodist church. Mrs. Tribole was the official delegate dele-gate from the Milford Methodist church. Mrs. S. A. Zabriskie entertained entertain-ed her club last Wednesday evening. eve-ning. "500" was enjoyed with Mrs. Bob Caperon receiving the high score prize, Mrs. Charles McCulley the traveling prize and Mrs. Shirley Brown the consolation consola-tion prize. pir. and ' Mrs. William Morris have been busy entertaining their daughter, Mrs. Clyde Tanner (nee Lola Morris) and Mrs. Charles B. Walker, both of whom reside in Los Angeles, and their son, Wallace Morris, of Fresno, California. Cali-fornia. The three motored here from Los Angeles. lAttorney and Mrs. Sam Cline attended University of Utah graduation exercises in Salt Lake City last week, their daughter, Miss Marie Gillies, being one of the graduates with a bachelor of science degree. They were accompanied ac-companied to the city by their son Dan and Miss Theo Zabriskie. Miss Marie returned .borne with them. Mr. and Mrs. Parley B. Fisher last week-end stole a couple of days from their busy routine and took the train for Logan, where they attended graduation exercises exercis-es of the Utah State Agricultural college, of which their son Ray is a 1940 graduate with high honors Irom the school of commerce. Miss 'Gladys Martin accompanied them to Logan, all returning on No. 21 Sunday morning. Among the students returning home this week from various colleges col-leges were Bob Murdock, John Clay, Doris Hughes, Ray 'Fisher, Rosalie Smith and Marie Carlson from the U. S. A. C. at Logan; Madge Moody from the B. Y. U. at Provo; and Maxine Altman, Katherine Hendrickson, Tom Han-ney Han-ney and Marie Gillies from the U. of U. at Salt Lake City. Announcement is made of the approaching marriage of Wallace Morris of Fresno, California, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Morris of Milford, and Miss Emma Jacobs of Ogden. The marriage ceremony will take place in the Salt Lake temple on Thursday, June 6, with President Heber J. Grant officiating. officiat-ing. The wedding ceremony will be followed by a reception at the home of the bride's uncle, Frank E. Baldwin, in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Morris and her son, Foster, and daughter, Mrs. Clyde Tanner, who is visiting here, will accompany accom-pany Wlallace to Salt Lake City for the wedding. |
