The pro- perty had consisted of 20 large stone buildings,), formerly known as Fort Cameron; a large stone building, huilt by the academy at , a cost of $40,000; a large, beautiful beauti-ful campus with wonderful shade trees; a large frontage on the I Beaver river, and a splendid camp i grounds, 50 acres in all. ! The guests j included Mrs. James Lang, Mrs. i Eph Smith, Mrs. Harve Hedges, !:Mrs. Scott Tanner, Mrs. K. Levi, Mrs. Charles Miller, Mrs. J. H. Weston, Mrs. Margaret Root, Mrs. S. H. Fotheringham and Mrs. F. C. Crookston. Miss iBenita James and Mrs. Merrill Miller had entertained at the James ranch at Black Rock in honor of Frona Clay. Those enjoying en-joying the afternoon were Olive Johnson, Myrtle Osborn, Mildred Killam, Leah Smith, Pauline Van-Wormer Van-Wormer and Reva Korns. The Pierian club had met at the home of Mrs. P. B. Fisher. An intelligence test, "What Eevry American Citizen Should Know", was given. Those present were Mesdames C. T. Woodbury, D. A. Baxter, William Fernley, Robert Sherwood, Foster Dewey and Jack Sherwood. Mrs. O. A. Steenbock had entertained enter-tained 13 little girls in honor of her granddaughter, Betty Wetzel, of Salt Lake City, who had spent the summer in Milford. Those present were Luella Bird, Sarah and Ruth Pool, Avanell Newhart, Ethel Tanner, Berniece, Veneta and Carol Smith, Stella Hollis, Maxine, Katherine and Elaine Kirk and Clara White of Beaver. Excellent crop conditions and l generally improved financial outlook out-look were existent in Beaver, Millard, Mil-lard, Sevier and Sanpete counties, .it had been reported iby Seth Pix-ton, Pix-ton, state bank commissioner, on his return to Salt Lake City from a visit of 17 state banking institutions insti-tutions in these counties.
