One picture has a Santa Clause and one has toys on it. Doreen Moody. We are drawing flowers for our wallpaper and coloring them. Howard Bingham. SECOND GRADE We are going to the creamery. A creamery is a place where butter is made. We will see how butter is made. We will see the churn. We hope to see how cream is tested. We went to the creamery today. to-day. Mr. Nelson showed us the churn. He showed us the butter just, when it was ' churned. He said it took an hour to churn the butter. We saw him cut the butter. but-ter. We saw the lady wrap it and put it in the boxes. Estelle and Rae. We have new arithmetic books. They are very interesting. We can read them. We can do the problems too. THIRD GRADE We are making airplanes. George Morris brought his fathers pictures about airplanes. George tacked them up on the board. We like to look at them. Douglas Denny. We wrote a letter to Mr. Perkins Per-kins to ask him if he would come up to our room to tell us about nviation. Charles Atkin. The third grade boys are making mak-ing airplanes and the girls are making badges. We are having much fun. We asked Mrs. Shannon Shan-non and Mr. Perkins to come up and tell us everything about air travel. We would like to have more pictures about airplanes. Anna Mae Grimshaw. We have saved enough money to send to the Ryan Aeronautical company for some pictures. Jack Stahl went down to the postoffice. He made out the money order for them. He said it was fun. He told us all about it. We will have three pictures. Phyllis Lyman. We have a flying club. We have to get a certain amount of questions ques-tions before we can join the club. Howard Moody. We started a contest. The one with the best plane wins a prize. The girls are making badges for our flying club. Jack Stahl. FOURTH GRADE We have a basket of fruit to give to Mrs. Armstrong. She is sick in bed. We hope she will get well soon. We filled the basket with apples, oranges and bananas. Mrs. Armstrong has helped us very much with information on the Horn Silver mine and old Milford. Mil-ford. Mary Hoke. We are studying old Milford in school now. The dance hall was in Mrs. Williams house. People lived there until they got their houses built. The second school house was where Mrs. Palmer is now. There was a well where Jeffersons is now. Dern Outzen. We made a basket of fruit for Mrs. Armstrong because she is sick. Mrs. Armstrong helped us with information and we like her very much. Max Roberts. We have a spelling test every Friday. The teacher made a chart which is two long pieces of paper with squares marked on them. The one out of the boys and girls that get the most words right in the test gets a square colored red for that week. Jessie McCulley. FIFTH GRADE We are going to exchange Christmas presents in our room this year. Everyone will receive a present and everyone will give a present. We have drawn names to see for what classmate we buy a present. Noma Roberts. We have our room decorated with Christmas pictures. Tt gives us the Christmas spirit. We are wishing every one a very happy Christmas. Mary Jane Kesler. On the back of our board we are drawing a map of Texas. We are putting in important things that happened to Texas in 1845. When we get throutrh we will have a lot to say about it. We are having fun. Lynn Williams. SIXTH GK.ADE Hot lunches are being served in our school to the pupils who come a long way. The cost is 50c a month. We had potatoes and gravy today. I ate ono dish and had plenty. It surely tastes good on cold day.;. Donald Stewart. ! In history we are studying about ancient Rome. Some of us ire making maps, others posters ind others are writing plays and acting them. We like the work, i Hugh Heslington. Penneys and Jeffersons havei their toys out for Christmas, i They have many good toys, if you do your shopping early you have a' better chance to get what you j want. Shop early should be your motto.
