Show M Col.'Clif McShane Given Discharge After more than four years of service, Colonel Orrice C. McShane of Beaver, has been honorably relieved re-lieved from active duty with the United States Army Air forces, according to a press release from j the air forces training command at I Fort Worth, Texas. Called to active duy in August, 1941, his first station was with an artillery battalion" at San Luis Obispo, California. Ten days after Pearl Harbor he was transferred to Moffett field, California, and for a brief period he served as a cadet battalion commander at Williams Wil-liams field. From February, 1942, to the following July he was executive exe-cutive officer of the cadet section at Santa Ana Army Air base, California, and then became base adjutant and commandant of cadets ca-dets at Peros Army Air field, Texas. In February, 19 13, he was transferred to training command headquarters. He is a veteran of the first World War and was awarded the Victory Medal with three stars. I In civilian life Colonel McShane j served as superintendent of generation gene-ration for the Telluride Power; company at Beaver, in which he ! has an interest. In an interview, the colonel said he was very glad ; to be taking up where he left off with the power company, with which he has been associated fori 20 years prior to being called to , active duty.
