Show Work Is Begun On ?ep Parade' Miss Fern Johnson arrived in ! Milford Tuesday to start work on the Lions club show. "Pen PnmrtA" j which will be presented Friday and Saturday, October 12-13, at the high school auditorium. Miss Johnson comes to Milford well recommended and has been interested inter-ested in Little theatre work for some time. In addition, she. has had special training on this particular parti-cular production. There will be additional information concerning this big attraction in the next two issues of The News. "Pep Parade" has the unqualified recommendation recommenda-tion of many other communities where it has been played and the Lions club is confident that the production will prove a worthy inauguration of the entertainment season. It will be an all-male cast which will make the dramatic presentation, presenta-tion, but there will be a number of chorus appearances, featuring the best in Milford's talent and beauty. Tuneful song numbers, gay costumes cos-tumes and clever dancing will help round out an evening of fine entertainment. enter-tainment. A baby contest will be held in conjunction with the production of "Pep Parade," with the contest con-test open to all under the age of six years and no entrance fee to charged. There are prizes, honors and plenty of fun connected with this unusual contest and everyone will be enthusiastic, it is assured, with the winners to be nrpspnfpd nn the tw0 night of the show. Starting this Wednesday and closing at 2 o'clock the afternoon of Saturday, October 13, some good . work is already being dene to-I to-I ward getting the contest off to a. good start. Votes will cost one I cent each and it will be well to least your vote early, then watch the 'bulletin boards for the stand- ing of your favorite candidate. |
