Show TOWN SLATES CLEAN IT UP CAMPAIGN Milford is going to clean up, paint up, and pretty itself up for the Centennial. That is the message of Town Board President Gronning, who issued a proclamation to that effect ef-fect and Rudolph Nielsen, chairman chair-man of the beautification committee, commit-tee, who stressed the important PQ'nt that the clean-up project is not a one-day or one-week affair, but will continue in full swing up to, including and after the Centennial Cen-tennial celebration. Mr. Nielsen has announced an 'mposing list of committee members, mem-bers, representing every group and organization in the town, to work with him in promoting the project. The committee Is: Rudolph Nielsen, chairman, Letha Smyth, secretary; Carlyle Gronning, Town Board President, and Bishop Fisher of the L. D. S. church, Rev. Blackstock of the Methodist church, Lettie Fotheringham Fother-ingham representing the Daughters Daugh-ters of Utah Pioneers, Vance Fisher Fish-er of the Lions club, Letha Smyth, American Legion Auxiliary, Dora Smithson, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Wanda Munk represents the Parent-Teacher Association, Ruth WilV'ams the Eastern Star, Melba White the Lady Trainmen, Mae Colborn the Lady Fireman, and Ethel Smith the Engineers. Roy Cottrell was chosen from the Odd Fellows, and Jim Muncey will represent rep-resent the Boy Scouts. ' The beautification program gets under way Saturday, April 20, with all committee members urged to get "on the ball" and stay with the program until the town has been made the cleanest in southern Utah. |
