Show F. R. Gaines Here As New Agent for the Union Pacific F. R. Gaines is the new Union Pacific agent at Milford, having come here last week as a successor to H. C. Cook, who has been appointed ap-pointed to the agency at Provo. Mr. Cook had been here for several weeks following F. E, Casterline's resignation from the agency-job to accept that of -.freight cashier, newly reestablished position connected con-nected withthe local office. Mr. Gaines is not entirely new to the job of agent 'at Milford, having served as Telief man here in 1931. Of late years, however, under un-der leave pf absence,' he has been with the Utah Fuel and. National Coal companies and relinquishes work with the latter company to resume railroad employment. For the last three years he has been chief clerk for the National Coal company, with its mines in th2 wellknown Gordon creek field of Carbon county. Mr. Gaines is accompanied here by his wife and they will likely make their home in the Bowen residence on north Main street, which was occupied by the Cooks while they lived here. |
