Oiling of all of the principal j streets of the town, first brought to the attention of the Milford; Lions club two weeks ago by Lion j George Jefferson, was further dis- i cussed by him last Wednesday at the regular luncheon meeting, at which time he stated that he had learned that such a project was possible under the PWA, with I the cost of the necessary oil the only burden on the municipality. For several months there has been underway a movement to secure se-cure the oiling of west Center street as a state highway project and north Main street and Sixth I avenue as a municipal project, but( only slow progress has been made. Now, it is suggested that the improvement im-provement come as a work pro- ject and include virtually all of I the streets of the community. Such a project, Lion Jefferson said, would benefit everyone in the town and would be a lasting monument to the huge expenditures expendi-tures being made from federal sources. -Lion L. A. Lion J. M. Hufehes reminded the club members of the high school league basketball game with Beaver Bea-ver at that place Friday night and suggested a large attendance of ; the townspeople in support of the local team.
