I - i Another enthusiastic meeting or ( the newly organized Milford Min-! , ing association was held Wednesday Wednes-day evening and the organization setup completed with the election ! of six directors. Edward Schoo, president of the Prosper Mining company, was elected president of the association at a meeting held Thursday night of last week, at which time Harry Jefferson, Jef-I Jef-I ferson Mercantile company em-, i ploye, was elected vice-president 1 and John Moore Williams, promi-, nent young attorney, was named secretary-treasurer. ( The directors are D. E. Kirk, M P. Lewis, Karl G. Hanr.ey, W. E. ' Martin, N. W. Keller and E. Nash. With the cooperation of mining; men, mining companies and others who have the best interests of western Beaver county at heart, the association will serve to bring, to the front and fully publicize the mining possibilities of the county and make available to min-; ing interests, prospectors and in-' vestors reliable information of various kinds. Also, it is intended to maintain a register of all mining min-ing properties and to exert every effort to conserve the mineral resources re-sources of the area against harm-ful harm-ful exploitation. The association has been effect-' ed largely through the interest and efforts of Attorney Williams, and his office over the Milford I State bank has been utilized as a meeting place. It is here that the next meeting, to be held this com- j ing Wednesday evening, will be held. M ! |
