Show Former Resident Dies In Salt Lake Mrs. Delia Agnes Hanlon, 47, for many years a highly respected resident, of Milford, died at the family residence in Salt Lake City, Wednesday of last week, at 4:15 p.m. after a ligering illness. Mrs. Hanlon was a member of durn, England, April 19, 1895, a daughter of Patrick and Margaret O'Malley Duffy. She came to the United States in 1910, and resided in Caliente, Nevada, for many years. She was married to John E. Hanlon in Caliente in 1916. The family moved later to Milford where Mrs. Hanlon served as Democratic chairwoman of Beaver Bea-ver county, and in other community com-munity and religious activities. Mrs. Hanjon was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic parish, par-ish, and was a promoter of the League of the Sacred Heart. She was active in credit union work, and was a past president of Wasatch parlor, No. 20, Brotherhood Brother-hood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen Auxiliary. Surviving her are her husband; her parents; a daughter, Patricia Hanlon; a son, Jack Hanlon, all of Salt Lake City; three brothers. Lieutenant Peter Duffy of the United SJtates navy, and James and Vincent Duffy of Los Angeles, California, and a sister, Mrs. Nora Bloomfield of El Monte California. The rosary was recited Friday at 8 p.m. at 372 East First South street, after which the body was taken to Los Angeles. Requiem mass was celebrated in St. Augustus Catholic church in Los Angeles Monday with burial in a Los Angeles cemetery. |
