Show Funeral Services Are Held For Girl With the high school freshman class attending in a body and boy classmates acting as pall-bearers, impressive funeral services were held in the local L. D. S. chapel Thursday afternoon of last week for Thelma Bond, 15-year old daughter of W. M. Bond, who had passed away the Monday morning preceding after several days illness ill-ness from pneumonia. Bishop E. H. Bird was in charge of the services and the speakers were Principal E. R. Moody of the Milford high school, and the bishop. bish-op. Several beautiful musical numbers num-bers were given and the floral offerings of-ferings were beautiful and profuse, tribute to the character of the departed de-parted girl and indication of the sympathy of the community for the family in their sad loss. The opening prayer was offered by Eb-( enezer Tanner and the benediction by L. A. Robinson. Former Bishop William A. Miller offered the dedicatory dedi-catory prayer in the local cemetery. ceme-tery. Thelma was born December 20, 1920, at Reed, where the family was living at that time, later moving mov-ing to South Milford. She entered school at Milford, passing through the elementary grades and virtually virtual-ly completing her freshman year in high school when she was taken ill. Thelma had a pleasing personality person-ality and was known for her faithful faith-ful performance of everything she undertook to do, having assumed in large measure the role of home-maker home-maker in the Bond home south of town, since the death of her mother. Surviving are the father and three sisters, Wilma, Arvilla and Ruth 1!., all of Milford. |
