Show LDrsifljr Dr. and Mrs. Lloyd F. Kohler and children spent' the week-end in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Lee Gray of Cedar City, former resident of 'Milford, was visiting with relatives and friends here over Thursday and Friday of last week. Wallace Morris was up (from. Los Angeles this week, visiting at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Morris, and with other relatives and friends. He returned to his home Tuesday. Mrs. William Morris entertained entertain-ed her sewing club last Wednes-ay Wednes-ay afternoon. Those present were Mrs. William Cochrane, Mrs. Lee Rowley, Mrs. Nellie Griffiths, Mrs. William Carlson, Mrs. 0. A. Steenboek, Mrs. J. P. Holm, Mrs. Mack Gillins, Mrs. Vern Shingle-ton Shingle-ton and Mrs. J. M. Williams. ! Mrs. L. G. Clay and daughters, Carolyn and ICorinne, visited in Fillmore over the week-end with Mrs. Clay's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Carling. While there they helped Mrs. Carling celebrate her birth anniversary. The Legion Auxiliary held their regular meeting Monday night' at the home of Mrs. Ethel Smith. After a short business session, bridge was enjoyed with Mrs. Ethel Nielsen receiving the prize j for high points and Mrs. Metta Weston the prize for high honors. Dainty refreshments were served by the hostesses Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Virginia Uren. Mrs. J. H. Weston was hostess to her bridge club Thursday of last week, with Mrs. J. R. Mux-dock Mux-dock jr. winning the high points prize and Mrs. D. S. Williams the high honors prize, while Mrs. E. 1 L. Smith received the consolation I prize. Others present were Mrs. ' Sam Cline, Mrs. Gene Kirk, Mrs. George Moore and Mrs. Powell I Smyth. Mrs. John L. Low of Long Beach, California, a former resident resi-dent of Milford, was a guest at the 0. C. Koch home over the week-end, and while here visited with old friends. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Hutchins and two small daughters of Los Angeles, California, arrived in ! Milford last Thursday for several days visit' with Mrs. Hutchins' mother, Mrs. Lula Peterson. Mr. t and Mrs. Hutchins are former Mil-: Mil-: ford residents, both having grad-! grad-! uated from the Milford high : school. Clair Gillins, who purchased the Four-Square Dairy from P. B. i Fisher and Sons a few weeks ago, informs The News of a change in ! the telephone number appearing ' in the ad for the dairy, the new number being 62-J-3. Mr. Gillins reports a constant' increase in 1 customers and says that he is well ' pleased with his new venture. ' Mrs. J. P. Holm entertained the Bridgadier club and other guests at her home last Wednesday night. Mrs. Vem Shingleton was honored at this time with many beautiful presents, it being her birthday. Bridge was enjoyed with Mrs. J. E. Wilson winning high points prize and Mrs. Otto Steenboek the high honors prize, while Mrs. Shingleton received1 the consolation consola-tion prize and Mrs. Arthur Con-nell Con-nell the traveling prize. Others present were Mrs. Ross Baxter, Mrs. Walter Martin, Mrs. Tannis Strofeld, Mrs. Dan James, Mrs. Fred Jefferson, Mrs. 0. R. Smith, Mrs. Ernest Uren and Mrs. William Wil-liam Morris. ! i ir i |
