Show Milford C. C. C. Camp Notes j By Leon G. Kidd j 1 There is being held in this camp a checker and table tennis tournament tourna-ment and several of the boys have already entered in these contests. Any enrollee that is taking any active part in our educational program pro-gram is eligible for this tournament. tourna-ment. The winner will be given a prize for his efforts. We hope to locate in this manner someone that will give the captain keen competition in table tennis. Captain James M. Walker is back with us again after a week at Fort Doouglas, attending school in mess management and company comp-any accounting. A. B. Olsen, our educational adviser, ad-viser, has obtained the use of the local high school typewriters for our typing class. He has also obtained ob-tained the use of the high school work shop and a very capable instructor in-structor for the carpenter class. i The boys of this camp were given a test in personal hygiene and sanitation Saturday. Everyone Every-one is required to pass this test. The division of grazing has a new caterpillar which was unloaded unload-ed Monday, January 13. The CCC basketball team play-j ed the Milford high" school a practice game of basketball Monday. Mon-day. Milford furnished the camp boys plenty of competition, the score being 21-19 in favor of the CCC boys. Plans are being made to argan-ize argan-ize a class in photography here in camp. Several of the boys have showed that they were interested in the course by asking for the class. We are hoping that we may be able to give them the course because the boys seem to take a delight in making pictures. |
