Show Paul Crosby of St. George, who is now located at Camp San Luis Obispo, California, was a guest of Miss Catherine Pitchforth last Week-end. Misses Patsy and Joan Mcintosh, Mcin-tosh, former M. H. S. students now living in Salt Lake City, have been spending the week with local friends. Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Pool spent several days this week in northern Utah. While there they attended Poultry day at American Fork, of which place the Pools are former residents. Miss LaRue McGinty of Los Angeles California, who, with her parents, is spending the summer in Minersville, spent last week here at the home of her aunts, Mrs. Harry Mills and Mrs. J. R. Rickerson. W. H. Child, former president of the Salt Lake Mining exchange, and Paul Hunt, prominent Utah mining man, were Milford visitors over the week-end. Both are heavily interested in the Horn Silver and Tintic Lead mining property. . Mrs. Floyd B. Hansen was over from Richfield for the week-end ' for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. 0. C. Koch, and her sisters, including Misses Freda I and Rozetta Koch, who are here from Colorado Springs to spend 1 part of their vacation. Mrs. D. S. Williams entertained entertain-ed the Wednesday Night Bridge club with Mrs. George Moore, Mrs. J. R. Murdock jr. and Mrs. Gene Kirk receiving the prizes. . Others pres'ent were Mrs. Sam Cline, Mrs. E. L. Jmith, Mrs. J. H. Weston and Mrs. Fred Jefferson. Mrs. Charles A. Glenn returned Saturday to her home in Winne-mucca, Winne-mucca, Nevada after spending the week with local relatives. Returning Return-ing wih her was her son Douglas,, who had been spending several weeks with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jajnes' Glenn, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. 0. P. Johansen, old resident of the' county, accompanied accom-panied by their son Tom and the latter's wife, who will be remembered remem-bered as a popular assistant in the Milford State bank several years ago, were in Milford this past week, visiting with local relatives and friends. They now reside in Oakland, California. (Mrs. Vena Wilson had as her guests last week her nieces, Miss Gretchen Hawley of Los Angeles, who was enroute to the Utah parks and Seattle, Washington, and Mrs. Florence Clark of Laurens, Iowa, who has been taking tak-ing a summer school course at the University of Colorado and was on her way to the coast for a vacation trip. Guests at the J. E. Wilson home this week are Mrs. Wilson's sister, sis-ter, Mrs. S. H. Savage, and two children, Oliver and Joan; and a very close friend, Miss Maurice Telge. They are from Houston, Texas and made an enjoyable trip to Salt Lake City, accompanied by Mrs. Wilson and son Ernest, in the course of their plans to see a much as possible of Utah. Mrs. William Cochrane was hostess to the Saturday Aiternoon Bridge club and guests July 26. Those present were Mrs. J. M. Williams, Mrs. J. R. Murdock jr., Mrs. Sam Cline, Mrs. Rudolph Nielsen, Mrs. Loren Bishop, Mrs. William Morris and Mrs. Fred Jefferoon. After refreshments were served bridge ' was played with Mrs. Bishop, Mrs. Cochrane and Mrs. Morris receiving the prizes. Mrs. J. S. Rickerson entertained entertain-ed her bridge club last Friday evening. Those present ver)a Mrs. William Morris, Mrs. Gene Pitchforth, Mrs. Dick Jones, Mrs. Freda Outzen, Mrs. W. E. Martin, Mar-tin, Mrs. Glen Barnes and Mrs. D. N. Hickman. The high points prize was won by Mrs. Martin and high honors and the traveling prizes by Mrs. Jones, while Mrs. Barnes received the consolation prize. |
