Show A3 the result of a recent survey made by William F. Thomas, a graduate student in psychology, among the coeds of the University of Illinois the intelligent man rated first and not the college athlete and the good dresser as has been commonly com-monly supposed, unless they met the intelligence and other requirements. Other traits which the coeds rated highly were kindness, cheerfulness, conversational ability, handsome hand-some appearance, sense of humor, congeniality, ability to hold interest and common interest. The men rated cheerfulness, cheerful-ness, congeniality, sex appeal, friendliness, kindness, helpfulness help-fulness and being a "good sport." Both men and women disliked dis-liked deceit and conceit, and both liked intelligence in their own sex. |
