E Griffiths 1 t The following is the program as outlined for the day From 9 III o'clock in the for forenoon forenoon fore fore- noon Professor ProCessor Carrington with other assistants will direct the visitors visitors visit visit- ors on a tour of or the campus and all of the different buildings where those who are especially Interested In work in any particular department will be permitted to visit classes No point of or Interest will be overlooked At 11 1130 30 the regular assembly hour a big general assembly for the visitors and the members of the student stu stu- dent lent bod body will be held heid and an unusual unusual un- un un usual program will be carried out Pres John A. A Widtsoe will make malte the principal address of welcome to the visitors while an enlarged band will ren render er musical selections Promptly at noon lunch will be served in the cafeteria After lunch there will be a short recess until the time for the big Salt Lake division high school track meet on Cummings fiel field This feature of the days day's events is expected to take the place of the big annual state stat meet since In times past a greater grentel number of those who have visited the the- University on High School Day have come principally as us boosters of the teams located in this vicinity These schools will enter teams East Eust West Vest L L. L D D. S. S U. U Granite and the University high school from Salt alt Lake proper Jordan Bingham Tooele Tooele Too Too- ele Grants Murray 1 and possibly Summit count county high school irons from out out- side Since the results of this meet will decide the entrants for tor the big state meet at the B B. U U. l May 17 there is little doubt that a n big following following following follow follow- ing will visit the Frida University Friday After the big meet the Crimson baseball nine will argue with the U U. A. A C C. C team from Logan Following the athletic events the girls will wm be e at liberty to rest and will be entertained by the University women in the women's rest room while the boys bos will in a get acquainted session to be held Inthe in inthe the faculty room In the evening all will join in a n dance chance in the gymnasium where candy and and punch will be served and j jazz music will reign |
