Show Diseases Are Reported At Low Ebb In Utah Report 4 from state health officers of-ficers for the Week ending July '!0 show a total of 270 i-i of conmuinh-able di.iencs, approximately approxi-mately the same numlM-r that win reported for the previous week. It is encoiiraKing to note that no cases of diphtheria, smallpox, or typhoid fever wen- reported. Only four rnses of scarlet fever were rejort'd. This is the smallest, small-est, numlwr of cases of this disease reported for any week of I II I.'!. Millard, Sanpete, and Uintah cf unties each reported one case of tularemia. Two of these patients we.ro children nnd one was an adult. According to the attending attend-ing physicians, the disease was cont runted by t.w0 of the patients from insect biles and Mm third from dressing a wild rabbit. Five cases of epidemic meningitis menin-gitis were reported from Salt I, nkn City nnd one from I'rovo. Two of the patients wen; children and the others young adults. Suit Ijikn City also reported one rase of tindularit fever. Two rases of poliomyelil is were reported from I'rovo and oik- from Salt, Lake City, making a total num'ber of 2') ras,.s of this disease for the year IfMH. In answer to questions which have bwn received from nuiny parenU, the following suggestions sugges-tions are made: Kii children away from large groups, discourage visiting and avoid parlies, gatherings, crowds and travel.
