Two neon signa have been installed in-stalled In Milford during the past week, one in front of the Atkin hotel ho-tel and one over the entrance of the Kinney Drug store. Milford had a genuine cold snap this week when the thermometer started on the down-grade Monday night and didn't stop until it reached 14 below zero. It was the characteristic drop in temperature that follows a storm, for there was an Inch and a half of snowfall Saturday. Santa Claus is coming to Milford He is coming via motor car down the Union Pacific tracks at 7:30 o'clock Christmas eve. He will disembark dis-embark at the big Christmas tree in front of the depot and each and every one of the youngsters present pres-ent will receive a share of his collection col-lection of goodies. The tree has been standing ready for several days. It is covered with all sorts of pretty decorations and will be lighted by dozens of colored lights. Horace Palmer Jr. was the winner win-ner of the 4-H scholarship tc Logan awarded by the Union Pa- cific, it was reported last week Palmer la one of the 13 members of the organization throughout the state to win the scholarship or his project work in the club. He is president of the local branch ol the society and the only membei in Beaver county to be awarded a scholarship. Clifford Landis made an airplane air-plane trip from Salt Lake City tc Los Angeles and back last weekend. week-end. He drove up to Salt Lak City with Tom Johansen. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Bradfield ol Minersville were in town buying supplies. Mr. Smith and A. L. Bettylion ol Milford are spending "Christmas with friends and relatives in Sail Lake City. |
