Show STILL AND EQUIPMENT ARE FOUND IN MILFORD A 25-galIon still, with approximately approxi-mately 50 gallons of mash and other equipment all of a much finer quality qual-ity than is usually found hereabout was seized Wednesday afternoon of last week by Sheriff Niels Jensen of Beaver, ably assisted by our popular deputy sheriff and town marshal, Teddy Kronholm. The outfit was found in the Center street residence occupied by Claude A. (Shorty) Tren-holm, Tren-holm, about 55 years of age and a former barber by profession. Included in the outfit was a cleverly clev-erly constructed home-made electric stove which served to heat the mash and also to keep the room at an even temperature. No finished liquor was found on the premises. Incidentally, the current for operating the stove was being furnished by the power company by means of a jump connection connec-tion and without the knowledge of the company. Trenholm was arrested but released re-leased until the following morning on his own recognizance. He duly made his appearance the next morning morn-ing but at that time pleaded for more time in which to "clean up his place" and soon thereafter made his getaway. get-away. A criminal complaint against him and the fact that all equipment is held as evidence against him if he should reappear, will probably keep him steering a course that will keep him out of sight of the officers, at least for the time being. |
