Now we are learning sig-nal--, learning to tackle, learning- the line-up, to pass, to kick, and learning tin- sei immage. We are hoping- to get a game with i the CCC camp, but this is only to ! :ve the boys something to do until ba-ketball season starts. Basketball starts the latter part of October under the coaching of a new teacher in the school, Wallace Osborne. Os-borne. Coach Osborne has taken up the coaching of our teams where Mr. Heslington, our former coach, left ,l .' We have some hope in our basketball basket-ball line-up. Freshmen Initiation Thursday and Friday of last week the Freshmen of the local high school vent through the initiation the Sophomores gave them with the git is dressed in old fashioned, cos- j tumes and the boys wearing- shorts, long black stockings, work shoes, green dunce caps, red neckties and a blue sash with "Lowly Freshmen" on it. All Freshmen had to enter and leave by the north door and obey all orders from the Sophomores. Friday the Freshmen were officially entered into high school. After initiation, boys from the Freshman and Sophomore classes participated in t he- annual sack race contest the Freshmen winning- over their opponents. op-ponents.
