Show Santa's Joined the "Caterpillar Club" By Earle Hooker Eaton THE motor car now goes so fast, That reindeer days are largely past, And airplanes swift may flo the work Of Santa who will never shirk The job of giving girls and boyt Their sleds and dolls and other toys; For Santa has a parachute, And "bails out" on the chimney route. For just like "Lindy," he's no dub-He's dub-He's joined the "Caterpillar Club"! If reindeer throw a shoe or two. And fail to gel the cargo through If motor cars blow out a tire. Or gel all messed up in the mire; And Santa Claus is in despair. He merely flies up in the air. And if the airplane fails him too, He drops straight down the chimney flue, For just like "Lindy," he's no dub He's joined the "Caterpillar Club"! , Western Newspaper Union. |
