Show Honor Group Selects 8 Scholars Phi Kappa Phi announced late Wednesday night the selection of eight students of the University of Utah for membership in the National National National Na Na- Scholastic fraternity As announced by Dr Dorothy Snow secretary of the local chapter chapter chapter chap chap- ter the members are David W. W Blood Lynn Hendricks Kathryn Kaneko and William Villiam Mulder Arts and Science Gene Hubbard and Lorene Isakson Education and Ralph Kimball and Thomas War Var Business Selections were made at a meeting meeting meeting meet meet- ing of the Faculty members of the honor society Wednesday after after- noon Besides Dr Snow officers of the local chapter are Dr E E. E L. L Quinn president and Dr C. C C. C Johnson vice president Membership in Phi K Kappa Phi is determined entirely on a basis of scholarship although it is restricted restricted restricted re re- re- re to upper division students It selects students from all aU schools schools' and is generally regarded as being one of the most sought after honors honors honors hon hon- ors on the campus Members are named to the society each quarter Competition this year was unusually unusually unusually unus unus- I keen and the average grades of students admitted were much above the average The average of the successful candidates was not divulged by the society it being against their policy to do so |
