Show NEW EQUIPMENT FOR.SHOW HOUSE Installation of new Synchrophone f sound equipment at the Victory-theatre, Victory-theatre, completed Wednesday afternoon after-noon by two company technicians, has made possible the complete enjoyment en-joyment of the offerings of Manager J. M. Hughes at his show house. Already Al-ready better equipped than most show houses in the way of sound-perfected sound-perfected walls and otheir fittings, this latest addition of a perforated screen and other equipment by which all sound emanates from the margin of the film instead of synchronized records, brings the local showhouse to a point where its patrons may enjoy their pictures right here in Milford as well as in the finest show-houses show-houses in the country. Incidentally, with the new equipment it will ce impossible for a picture to get "out of synch", a mixup that puts the spoken wdrds and the movement of the lips out of time with each other. The first showing with the new-equipment new-equipment took place Wednesday evening and left nothing to be desired. de-sired. Instead of the strain under which one sometimes labored at times to catch bits of conversation, every word uttered, however low in modulation, modu-lation, came to the audience with a clearness that was almost startling, while the music and light effects also were better. Manager Hughes was compelled to labor under difficulties for some time after he first took over the management of the Victory, with outstanding but outofdate picture bookings already signed up far ahead and equipment that left much to be desired, but he is to be commended on the much better booking he is now-making now-making and his well-demonstrated desire to give his patrons the best possible in the way of equipment. |
