Show BOHN IS APPOINTED AS HATCHERY HEAD Displacement of Easton Comes As Surprise; He Will Take Charge of Field Work (From Beaver Press) With orders received yesterday from the State Fish and Came department. de-partment. .Murray liohn was placed in charge of the local fish hatchery, succeeding Gus Easton. who will be transferred to field work as game warden in Beaver and a part of Millard Mil-lard county. The change was effective effec-tive at once, and Mr. Bohn is now in active charge of the hatchery. The state has also renewed its lease on the Cy Davis hatchery adjoining ad-joining the state property at this place, and plans are under way for greatly increased production of fish during the coining year. Many improvements will be made at the hatchery including the fencing fenc-ing of the slough, wire netting over the rearing ponds as protection against fish-destroying birds; the building of sand-traps to eliminate gravel from reaching the rearing ponds, and the possibility of the construction con-struction of additional ponds. With the interest now being manifested by the sportsmen of the county, it is safe to say that the streams and lakes of Beaver county will be amply stocked in the future. o |
