Show w THE SILVER LINING Darkened days are brightening. The general trend of optimism optim-ism prevails. We have again weathered the storm, and the outlook out-look is most encouraging. While the stock markets, which gave the first impetus to the improving conditions, may react in slight degrees at times, there is no doubt that the bottom has been leached and confidence restored to a gerat extent. The silver market, of particular interest to this section, is already causing mines in Nevada to re-open, and it is reported that as soon as the stability of the present quotation on bar silver sil-ver is shown, that several mines in Beaver county will begin operations. oper-ations. There is a possibility that the price of silver will not only hold its present quotations but will continue to rise to a point that will encourage new development work in the silver-lead districts. From reports from all parts of the county comes word of reopening re-opening of factories and increased production in all lines. The clouds that hovered over the unemployment for the winter have a silver lining. n |
