' Golden Text: Isaih 60:1. Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. The citations which comprise the Lesson Sermon include the following from the Bible! "Jesus cried and said,. He that believeth. on me, believ-eth believ-eth not on me, but on him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness" (St. John 12:44, 46). The Lesson Sermon also includes the following correlative passage from page 135 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Bak-er Eddy: "Christianity as Jesus taught it was the not a creed, nor a system of ceremonies, nor a special gift from a ritualistic Jehovah; but it was the demonstration of divine Love casting out error and healing the sick, not merely in the name of Christ, or Truth, but in demonstration of Truth, as must be the case in the eyeless of divine light." n |
